GapFill.org connects donors directly with the practical needs of Christian missionaries.

Through GapFill.org’s online platform, missionaries post specific items or project needs for their ministry. Donors can then visit the site and choose to purchase—or give toward—a particular item or project for a specific missionary.

There is complete transparency: you know exactly where your gift is going, and there is no long-term commitment required.

Once an item is fully funded, GapFill obtains the item and, when needed, ships it directly to the missionary, ensuring the need is met quickly and responsibly.

About Us

GapFill.org was founded in 2009 in response to more than 30 years of “filling in the gap” for Christian missionaries in need. GapFill is a true grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit, still “growing its roots” while staying grounded in hands-on service.

Founders Bill and Joyce Turner have been actively involved in missionary projects and sending needed items to missionaries for over three decades. Over the years, those needs ranged from helping build a steel bridge in Papua New Guinea, to providing new shoes for missionary children. Most often, the needs fell somewhere in between—equipping more than a dozen schools with chalkboards and supplies, providing new computers and hard drives for missionaries, and supplying solar tablets for native Bible translation workers.

Meeting these practical needs was a simple but meaningful way to “fill in the gap” and keep mission work moving forward.

Today, GapFill has grown to the point where the needs far exceed what Joyce and Bill can do on their own—and that’s where you come in. GapFill connects donors with specific items needed by missionaries, offering one small but powerful way to help “fill in the gap.”

We believe these Christian missionaries are truly the hands and feet of Jesus, living out the words of Isaiah 52:7:

“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!” (NLT)

We are Christian

We acknowledge one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Jesus the love, mercy and grace of God are made known to us and all people.

We seek to follow Jesus — in His love for all people without discrimination or conditions. We have a true oneness of mind with our missionaries that God’s name be glorified throughout the world and that Jesus Christ be universally recognized as God’s gift to all humanity.

We are Stewards

The resources at our disposal are not our own. They are a trust from God through donors on behalf of the missionaries. We speak and act honestly. We are open and factual in our dealings with donors, projects and the public at large.

We demand of ourselves high standards of professional competence and financial accountability.

We are Partners

We are partners with the missionaries and with donors in a shared ministry. We pursue relationships with all Christian churches and desire mutual participation in ministry.

Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, Maker of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven: and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. 

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic (universal) and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
