Support Need for Church and Persecuted Believers
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” – 1 Corinthians 15:58
Across the Arab world and beyond, we are witnessing extraordinary works of redemption among Muslims. Many are coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus—some through visions and dreams—and small house churches are being planted. Through the courageous witness of local believers, these fellowships are growing and multiplying.
Because of the cultural and religious context, new followers of Christ often face severe challenges and direct persecution. For them, “counting the cost” is not a metaphor—it is a daily reality. Yet having found eternal life, forgiveness, peace, and joy in Christ, they press on without turning back.
In these trials, we feel called to stand beside them. As these believers often remind us, their greatest need is prayer. Yet until the local church becomes fully self-sustaining, there are also real financial needs where we can help steward the resources God has entrusted to us.
As we partner with local believers in pioneering areas—bringing the Gospel to the unreached—we also aim to equip them with the tools necessary for ministry and discipleship.
Scripture urges us not to neglect doing good and sharing what we have, “for such sacrifices are pleasing to God” (Hebrews 13:16). This fund is one practical way to serve the Body of Christ and offer those holy sacrifices.
Purpose of This Fund
This fund exists to provide emergency assistance and support in times of crisis when all other options are exhausted. It supports:
Crisis Relief: hospital bills, safe-house rent, emergency travel when hiding is necessary, legal assistance, and similar needs
Supporting the Poor: urgent financial aid for believers facing severe hardship
Ministry Needs: spiritual literature, rental of meeting spaces, outreach materials, and travel to remote areas for ministry
In seeking to live out true discipleship, we look to the example of the early church in Acts—believers who had all things in common and cared for one another in unity. This same unity is Christ’s desire for His bride.
Thank you for blessing the global Body of Christ and joining in this sacred work of unity, compassion, and gospel witness.
About Sensitive Area Missionaries
These are the needs of Christian missionaries located in "sensitive areas" of the world. Due to Christian persecution, the areas of these missionaries cannot be mentioned, however, GapFill has done its due diligence to ensure funds are being used as designated.
